My Story

Hi! I’m Lindsay, functional medicine dietitian and yoga teacher. It is my passion to bring comprehensive and compassionate care to people who’ve experienced the not-so-merry-go-round of the medical system in their desperate search for healing.

My chronic illness derailed me, left me bed-ridden, terrified, confused, invalidated, and worst of all, feeling hopeless. I began avoiding medical appointments and suffering in silence, because I wasn’t being heard or understood. I was tired of hearing ‘everything looks normal’ or ‘maybe it’s just stress,’ when it took everything I had to get myself to long awaited appointments that were over far too quickly. I was tired of medications for symptom management being tossed my way with very little input on the how or why I was miserable with gut and hormone imbalances in the first place. So, I set out on my journey determined to become an expert in understanding the roots of chronic illnesses and the remedies that help our bodies find lasting relief. Through my own path to healing I’ve learned that my clients are complex and deserve thoughtful conversations and individualized solutions. 

Using my expertise in functional nutrition and mind-body techniques, I help people get to the root-cause of their functional gut disorders, hormonal imbalances, and chronic inflammation, and provide a nourishing, food=first approach for lasting results.

I understand how misinforming and down right confusing our ‘health’ and looks obsessed society impacts a person with chronic illness, desperate to find answers among the mess of internet snake salesmen and influencers. If you feel our current culture perpetuates a confusing relationship with food and your body, you’re in the right place. I work to simultaneously encourage healing physically and emotionally, by incorporating an anti-fad diet, pro-health (at every size!), and evidenced-based approach that honors your individuality.

  • Complete intake forms prior to meeting with Lindsay for a virtual nutrition assessment.

  • Meet one-on-one with Lindsay Midura, RDN, LDN for a 55 minute nutrition assessment online.

  • Develop a personalized health plan that fits your needs, schedule and lifestyle

  • Set achievable goals and milestones to reach optimal health.

Initial Nutrition
Assessment

Let’s sit down together and take a deep dive in to your history, concerns, and goals. We’ll get to know one another, discuss your eating and lifestyle habits, symptoms, and your relationship to food and your body. We may order functional lab testing for further assessment. We’ll then begin to create a treatment plan that is unique to you and aligns with your own personal journey. (Held virtually)

Follow-up Nutrition Appointment

Follow- up appointments provide you the opportunity to check in and receive continued evaluation, support, and accountability that are so important when working towards long-term, sustainable changes in behaviors and thoughts. We will revisit goals, assess how things are going, and adjust as needed to make sure we’re on the best possible path to accomplishing what you’ve set out to do.
